Hi Team,
We want to create a QA tester role who will be able to add add/modify record from Application, but they should not have edit access in Application builder.
Please suggest.

Kousik

Hello Kousik,
Below are the steps to perform to only give READ access to any role-
1. Go to Configuration>Roles> your role and give READ access to the application builder and management-
2. In the Model privilege Grant, don't give the full access of the model to your role-
3. When the user having that role try to edit anything it will pop-up like this-
Add the QA tester role in the model privilege grants and don't give him the 'Grant full access to the model' so that they can't able to access the application builder but can easily add/modify the records in the UI-
You can have read access but not edit access to a role, to do this just go to the configuration->role and select that role and just provide it the READ access to application builder and application management-
Thank you.

HI Subham,
Thank you for your reply. I hve understood from Model Privilege perspective. In that case what can be the suggested Priviliges option for Application design and Application Management and in Role management page for this role.
Thank you.

Kousik

Hello Kousik,
It is possible and you have to do the following-
Add the QA tester role in the model privilege grants and don't give him the 'Grant full access to the model' so that they can't able to access the application builder but can easily add/modify the records in the UI-
